Married Young ...
They told us we had missed so much of youth
The laughter and the fun
The sipping, one by one
Of all the flowers life offered to the free;
And we should see,
They said, all this as we grew old...
How could they guess the truth,
For if, with stealthy hand and cold
Life take our present joy away,
Have we not had the glory of the day
Who saw, together,
It's bright morning break.
